Projects

We transformed this hot patio leading to a cliff into a lush terraced garden. Designed to harvest the water coming off the patio we added retaining walls and curved steps leading to the lower vegetable beds. A stone fountain and herb spiral invite you to walk around on the soft thyme and enjoy the pollinator garden, native, and fruit trees. Many of the plants in this design are edible or medicinal.

This project involved a new pergola, veggie boxes to match, grading, and creating basins to harvest water coming off the roof of the house and shed. Using low-water plants and permeable materials ensure that the plants survive with no additional water year round. Irrigation is used where it is most beneficial in the new veggie garden. An underground basin fountain provides sound screening and water for thirsty wildlife in the hot summers.
